assalamualaikum wa rehmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
From a long time, I am looking to start hifdh of Quran with my 3year old son, but i couldnt find any source for how to start it with the toddler. As i was just thinking about it,suddenly an idea came in my mind of repetition. my son memorizes a lot of things from repetition and the brain of toddlers are like sponges as much you put as much they absorb.
So i started a bedtime routine ( bcoz it is impossible for me to make him sit and start memorizing) so when we get into bed, I start tilawat and he joins me with it. currently my son is on surah albaqarah verse 5,and already done surah al fatiha, ayatulqursi, everyday duas and some short hadiths. Hope it will help you, at first if your child is not reciting with you, dont ask him over and over again just keep reciting and inshAllah he will join you in few days but be consistent inshaAllah.

Diy cardboard toy storage
Organizing is always on the go, whether because your living in a small house or your kids have to many toys but less space to utilize or you dont want to buy those too expensive toy storage boxes and you hate those ugly looking plastic bins moving in your kids room. So heres a simple diy cardbox idea turned into toy storage box, plus its real simple to make it.
For cardboard toy box you will need:
- one big cardboard box
- paints
- paper cutters
cut the cardboard box from the sides other than opening sides, i just simply put my giant tray on it and trace the shape with pencil and cut it out with the cutter. This is what it looks like after cutting it
my sweet potato in his underconstruction toy box.
Step 2:
Now put it at your backyard or balcony to paint it and take the help of your husband like me or if your kids are big enough to help you they will enjoy painting it according to their taste. So use as many colours as you want and make as many shapes you want too, I just printed my hands on the toy box.You can also spray paint your box. after painting the sides and top part just wait for the paint to get dry, then turn it over and start painting again and paint all over the box.
Let it dry out completely at an outside area for few hours depending on the temperature. Here it was too hot that it just dried up in less then 1 hour and here is the ready product.

If you havnt ever tried homemade ice cream, give it a try this time. You will be thankful for your decision. It is a super perfect recipe using only 3 ingredients. It doesn’t require an ice cream machine either! This ice cream really exceeded my expectations as it was amazingly creamy and luxurious.I have seen this recipe here.

Ingredients:
- strawberries 10 oz
- cream 2/3 cup
- sugar 1/2 cup
Method:
1. Blend your strawberries and sugar until they make a smooth puree.
2. Process until the fruit is completely chopped.
3. With the blender running slowly, pour in the cream until fully mixed.
4. Pour into a airtight box / dish and pop it in the freezer for at least 6 hours. I left mine overnight to be sure it was set. after every 3 hours takeout the dish and whisk it for 2 minutes. twice in 6 hours.
I made mine with fresh strawberries that I blended into a puree. You could use any fruit you like or buy a ready made fruit puree and just add that if you wanted.

As i was looking for some healthy options for my picky toddler to eat, actually he is so difficult that at times he even dont eat what he eats daily lolz. some times he ask me for some particular thing and when i cook it for him he says ok i'll eat it tomorrow omg. but he loves crunchy foods like chips, nuts, skin of kfc's chicken lolz.. anyways back to the topic so as i was searching for some healthy options to make. i thought of making some namak paray / savory fried snacks. basically this snack is made with flour and available at almost every pakistani snack shops, usually it is eaten at tea time in afternoon. So i just thought to give it a try and also its a simple and short recipe can be made within half hour.so heres the recipe:
Ingredients:
whole wheat flour 1 cup
salt 1/2 tsp
cumin seeds 1 tsp heaped
butter 1 tbsp
water for kneading
Recipe
knead it into a hard dough wrap in a cling sheet set aside for 30 minutes. now take out dough and make 3 balls of it take one ball on a lightly floured suraface and roll it into a thin tortilla, with a sharp knife cut horizontally 3/4" thick strips and now cut 3/4" thick vertically , you will have diamond like this. now deep fry them on medium heat until golden brown in colour.put it on kitchen roll for getting rid of extra oil.
